Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Corrugated Structural Designer to create cost-efficient, structurally sound packaging and POP displays. You’ll redesign components for cost, performance, and functionality while supporting internal teams and clients.

Proficiency in ArtiosCAD and packaging knowledge are essential. Responsibilities include collaborating with Sales, developing designs from concept to production, and preparing drawings, BOMs, and die lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CAD/drafting/design
• Strong portfolio of packaging design work
• Experience from concept to production in packaging
• Understanding of costing systems and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with ISTA testing requirements
• Proficiency with ArtiosCAD is essential

Responsibilities

• Design corrugated packaging solutions and POP displays
• Collaborate with Sales to tailor client solutions
• Develop designs based on appearance, functionality, materials, production methods, and specs
• Create detailed designs and prototypes using ArtiosCAD and other tools
• Prepare working drawings and specifications
• Inspect samples and present concepts to clients
• Generate Bill of Materials, drawings, pallet layouts and die lines
• Meet tight deadlines and coordinate with cross-functional teams
