Job summary

e.l.f. Beauty seeks a Senior Packaging Designer to craft disruptive, on-brand packaging across merch and PR kits. You will translate briefs into concepts that align with our beauty brands, while balancing production feasibility and cost constraints in a fast-paced setting.

You will lead design direction, stay ahead of trends, collaborate with Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, NPD, Sales, and Operations, and ensure sustainability targets are considered from concept to sample development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• 5+ years packaging design in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Knowledge of primary and secondary packaging decoration techniques.
• Strong typography and color skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Excellent communication and time management; team oriented.
• Ability to work in-office a minimum of 3 days per week.
• Experience with sustainability in packaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret briefs to design strategic packaging concepts aligning with brand positioning and consumer insights.
• Create on-trend designs for packaging, PR kits, merch, and collaborations.
• Execute approved designs with attention to production standards and specifications.
• Consider sustainability targets, material reduction, and post-consumer recycled content.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, NPD, Sales, and Operations.
• Present design rationale to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Stay current on beauty design trends and technologies.
• Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with quality output.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth execution.
• Maintain organized design files and archives for easy retrieval.
• Oversee packaging design and sampling, liaising with development and China NPD daily.
