e.l.f. Beauty is seeking a Manager, Packaging Engineer to lead packaging development and drive sustainability across Naturium packaging. The role reports to the Sr.

Manager of Package Engineer and works with a cross-functional team in LA, Oakland, and sourcing teams worldwide to deliver compliant, innovative packaging. The successful candidate will manage technology validation, supplier relations, and regulatory conformance, while aligning with the company's total compensation philosophy and

Qualifications

• BS in Packaging Science or Engineering required.
• 5+ years in cosmetic package development.
• Experience with Post-Consumer/Post-Industrial recycled materials.
• Knowledge of global suppliers and packaging regulations.
• Strong sustainability and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop package specifications and control plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in packaging development and process engineering to enable sustainable lifecycle projects.
• Drive packaging design toward sustainability and compliance goals.
• Collaborate with creative, sourcing, and China teams to use PCR/PIR materials with premium decoration.
• Lead supplier negotiations to meet cost and margin targets.
• Update portfolio with PCR/PIR content and compliance documentation.
• Own Declaration of Conformity implementation across the portfolio.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align with ELF's strategy.
• Represent brand culture in package design and consumer experience.
• Communicate milestones and flag risks to stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Develop risk assessments and project timetables as needed.
• Evaluate package samples, prototypes, and supplier capabilities.
• Ensure projects meet design, quality, cost, manufacturability, and regulatory goals.
