Job summary

Merck is seeking a Senior Packaging Component Engineer at our Wilson, NC site to advance component life cycle management and drive quality investigations. The role partners with packaging, device development, and external suppliers to support product launches, transfers, and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Background in packaging process and components.
• GMP environment experience.
• Experience applying root cause analysis and Lean Six Sigma.
• Technical writing and document review experience.

Responsibilities

• Author and revise component specifications with cross-functional teams.
• Vendor collaboration to develop and test components for qualifications and launches.
• Lead design transfer processes with packaging commercialization and device development.
• Act as Change Owner/Project Manager for component-related changes.
• Initiate workflows in GLAMS for printed component drawings for global markets.
• Troubleshoot line issues and manage supplier investigations in IMS.
