Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to support the JJIMSC vision and lead packaging development, testing and lifecycle management for advanced therapies. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure compliant, cost-effective packaging solutions across internal and external sites.

Responsibilities include technology transfer, qualification activities, and enabling successful product launches while maintaining regulatory and quality standards

Qualifications

• Master's in Packaging Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 years' packaging, labeling and manufacturing experience.
• Project management skills required.
• Experience with Passive Shipping Solutions.
• Knowledge of secondary & tertiary packaging materials/designs.
• Knowledge of packaging distribution/testing (cold chain & non-cold chain).
• Qualification/validation of packaging equipment and processes preferred.
• Pharma/regulatory experience and knowledge of cGMP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide lifecycle packaging equipment, process transfer and launch support as required.
• Lead transportation study activities for the supply chain (distribution testing, temperature control).
• Support product protection, line trials and packaging equipment qualifications.
• Assist with shipping route verification and packaging material support.
• Provide site technical support for packaging quality investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Identify and implement cost improvement projects for packaging across sites.
