Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer in Packaging Materials to drive technical leadership across packaging materials and life-cycle processes. You will guide development, execution, and optimization of packaging solutions, working with Global Innovation and MSAT teams to ensure regulatory and quality standards.

The role requires advanced expertise in packaging technologies, strong analytical skills, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with pharma experience.
• 5+ years in pharmaceutical industry; Master’s preferred with 3+ years.
• Experience with GMP, QMS and lifecycle management processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for all packaging matters on site throughout product life cycle.
• Evaluate and approve moderate and major change requests autonomously.
• Analyze complex process data and prepare reports independently.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for transfers, deviations and validations.
• Support regulatory questions during new product development and changes.
• Develop solutions for process optimization and cost of goods impact.
