Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Solution Architect to lead end-to-end design for large-scale P&C insurance platforms in Worcester, MA. You will partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable tech, drive roadmaps, and oversee governance throughout the SDLC.

The role requires deep Java-based full-stack expertise (Java/Spring Boot/React or Angular), experience with microservices, API-led architecture, and cloud-native deployments on Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
• 10+ years IT experience, including 3+ years in Solution Architecture roles.
• P&C Insurance industry experience required.
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Proven experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Experience with distributed Agile teams.
• Strong hands-on Java-based full-stack development (Java, Spring Boot, React/Angular).
• Experience with API-led architecture, event-driven architecture, and messaging (Kafka/Azure Service Bus).
• Experience with modernizing insurance platforms (Guidewire/Duck Creek/Majesco) and domain-driven design.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern end-to-end solution architecture for large-scale P&C insurance platforms and digital initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technology solutions.
• Develop architecture roadmaps aligned with standards and objectives.
• Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, and governance processes.
• Provide technology leadership across the SDLC.
• Design solutions for policy admin, underwriting, claims, billing, portals, self-service, rating, and compliance.
• Modernize legacy apps and integrate third-party platforms.
• Architect customer-facing web and mobile apps and omnichannel experiences.
• Ensure high availability, security, performance, and scalability.
• Lead adoption of Azure cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes deployment.
• Evaluate and implement Generative AI use cases.
• Drive API, microservices, and event-driven integration strategies.
