Job summary

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants is seeking a Data Scientist to apply rigorous analytics to real business challenges and help develop technology-enabled solutions. You will shape client-facing and operational analytics across our Property & Casualty and benefits portfolio, working hands-on to build, validate, and operationalize analyses and dashboards.

You will collaborate with solution engineers and business stakeholders to bring analytics into production on the Azure Databricks platform,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
Proficiency with Python, SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or Databricks.
Experience with relational databases and core data analysis techniques.
At least 3 years in actuarial, data analyst, data science, or equivalent role in an insurance brokerage.
Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Collect, integrate, cleanse, and manage data from diverse insurance sources.
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and insights in complex datasets.
Develop analytical solutions and improve processes using statistics and database tools.
Create dashboards and visualizations that clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.
Prototype ideas, support statistical research, and address data quality challenges.
