Job summary

CLIENT Analytics, the analytics arm of CLIENT headquartered in New York, seeks a senior Data Scientist with 7+ years in P&C insurance analytics to develop ML models for pricing, customer behavior, retention, price sensitivity, and risk segmentation.

You will design feature pipelines from policy, claims, exposure and behavioral data and deploy models in Databricks environments, collaborating with actuarial, underwriting and product teams to deliver analytical solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in P&C insurance analytics, pricing, or actuarial-adjacent data science roles

Responsibilities

• Develop ML models for P&C insurance pricing, customer behavior, retention and risk segmentation
• Build, enhance, and maintain GLM-based pricing models (frequency, severity, pure premium)
• Perform model comparison and benchmarking between traditional actuarial models and ML approaches
• Design and implement feature engineering pipelines using policy, claims, exposure, and behavioral data
• Conduct model validation, performance monitoring, and stability analysis over time
• Deploy and operationalize models using Databricks-based workflows
• Partner with actuarial, underwriting, and product teams to translate business problems into analytical solutions
