Job summary

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants seeks an SVP of Actuarial Engineering to lead hands-on actuarial analytics across commercial lines, translating outputs into executive-ready insights for brokers and clients. You will operationalize models on Azure Databricks and mentor a lean team while collaborating with solution engineers to productionize models.

Qualifications

• FCAS or ACAS preferred; flexible for proven brokerage delivery depth.
• Production-level Python for actuarial modeling, analysis, and data manipulation; clean, maintainable code.
• SDLC fluency: version control, testing, documentation, and engineering handoff for model deployment.
• Data & Cloud: comfortable with large policy, claims data; familiarity with Databricks/Azure or equivalents.
• Strong communication: translate actuarial complexity into executive-level narratives.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and validate actuarial and statistical models for commercial lines pricing and portfolio analytics using Python.
• Lead hands-on actuarial professionals, scaling modeling and advisory capabilities across the platform.
• Develop reusable analytics solutions translating model outputs into board-ready presentations for clients.
• Partner with solution engineering to operationalize models on governed platforms through a structured SDLC.
• Manage onshore and offshore vendor resources, providing quality review and delivery oversight.
• Collaborate with leaders on architectural decisions affecting client-facing deliverables.
