Job summary

Kin Insurance is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate P&C product decisions into precise, implementation-ready requirements. You will own the requirements lifecycle across product, state launches, forms, and rating changes, collaborating with Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, and Engineering to ensure accurate deployment.

You’ll drive UAT, launch readiness, and continuous process improvements, ensuring change requests are clear and traceable

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a business analyst or systems analyst in P&C insurance
• 3+ years working on P&C insurance products and state configurations
• Experience turning insurance concepts into engineering-ready requirements
• Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings, and process flows
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery environment

Responsibilities

• Own the requirements lifecycle for insurance product and state‑configuration changes from discovery to handoff
• Translate product decisions into clear business requirements and functional specs for Engineering and Tech Product
• Collaborate with multiple teams to gather inputs, resolve ambiguity, and maintain alignment through deployment
• Document current and future state processes and manage requirement changes
• Identify gaps, dependencies, and compliance needs before development begins
• Build user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria for reliable builds
• Act as the primary point of contact for requirements questions during development
• Lead UAT planning and validation before broader release
• Drive launch readiness with documentation and repeatable delivery templates
