RMS Energy Co, LLC is seeking a P&C Lead Field Technician to lead critical energy infrastructure projects across the U.S. This senior field role performs and supervises advanced relay testing, substations commissioning, and power system diagnostics, while mentoring teammates and upholding safety and quality standards.

You’ll travel across the continental U.S. up to 50%+, perform field testing and troubleshooting, and coordinate with project teams to ensure on-time, safe project delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on experience in P&C commissioning, panel checkout, and relay calibration.
• 5+ years of leadership in field project execution or relay system integration.
• Background in substation design, P&C engineering, SCADA, or data integration systems.
• Advanced knowledge of 3-phase systems, P&C schemes, and diagnostic test equipment.

Responsabilités

• Perform advanced testing on P&C relays, including verifying voltage/current inputs, calibrating trips, and SCADA integration.
• Commission new substations and verify protection, pilot channel, and control system equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair relaying, controls, SCADA, and communications systems.
• Execute projects efficiently and safely per procedures.
• Reference and complete assignments based on technical drawings and job specs.
• Support junior field technicians with technical guidance.
• Conduct regular field work indoors and outdoors.
• Follow strict safety and PPE usage protocols.
