Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking an engineer to review Protection & Control (P&C) designs and support the development of new PCE standards. This onsite role is based out of New Albany, OH and emphasizes ensuring designs comply with established standards and technical requirements.

You will support automation tool development, provide technical guidance to P&C Production and TFS, and maintain PCE standards documentation to promote high-quality design practices.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or equivalent.
• PE license encouraged/preferred for senior levels.
• Experience with Protection & Control (P&C) design and standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Review P&C designs and develop new PCE standards.
• Verify equipment and circuit designs meet PCE standards.
• Develop and maintain automation tools to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance to P&C Production and TFS teams.
• Maintain SS guides and PCE standards documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
