This is a highly visible position working at the intersection of Product, Pricing, and Underwriting — focused on driving profitable growth, enhancing market responsiveness, and ensuring strong regulatory alignment.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of deep actuarial pricing expertise, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to operate cross-functionally. You’ll be someone who can translate complex analysis into clear strategic direction, influence stakeholders, and help navigate an evolving and dynamic market landscape.

What You’ll Do
  • Take ownership of actuarial analysis and pricing initiatives across key states, supporting tailored, state-level strategies
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, and Finance to align actuarial work with broader business goals
  • Track portfolio performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve profitability and drive sustainable growth
  • Oversee actuarial contributions to rate filings and regulatory engagement, including developing indications, documentation, exhibits, and responses to inquiries
  • Continuously refine pricing approaches, assumptions, governance frameworks, and analytical capabilities to strengthen decision-making
  • Deliver insights on performance trends, catastrophe risk, reinsurance dynamics, and emerging exposures to inform strategy
  • Translate complex actuarial concepts into clear, practical recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Guide and support actuarial analysts throughout the rate filing lifecycle, ensuring quality and consistency in output
What We’re Looking For
  • ACAS or FCAS designation is required
  • 7+ years of actuarial pricing experience within the Property & Casualty insurance sector
  • Background supporting personal lines or high-net-worth insurance products is advantageous
  • Solid expertise in ratemaking, predictive modeling, and the regulatory landscape governing insurance
  • Proven experience contributing to rate filings and engaging with Departments of Insurance is highly valued
  • Knowledge of key state markets such as California, Florida, New York, and/or Texas is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R, SAS, and Excel
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across a range of stakeholders
  • Comfortable managing competing priorities and delivering results in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
