Russell Investments’ Customized Portfolio Solutions (CPS) team seeks a Senior Portfolio Manager to oversee complex institutional overlay portfolios, including currency and derivative-based strategies. This role requires broad expertise across Overlay Solutions and a track record of leadership, client engagement, and investment innovation.

The successful candidate will coach team members, manage cross-functional initiatives, and drive risk-aware decisions in a dynamic market environment.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in institutional investing, portfolio management, derivatives, overlay management
• Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and influence outcomes across teams
• Strong client presence with the ability to communicate sophisticated investment concepts clearly
• CFA designation or progress toward the charter is preferred; advanced degree valued

Responsibilities

• Manage complex institutional overlay portfolios across a range of strategies.
• Develop broader expertise across Overlay Solutions strategies and mentor the team.
• Exercise independent investment judgment within client objectives and governance frameworks.
• Lead client discussions and translate complex portfolio and derivative concepts into practical recommendations.
• Collaborate with Trading, FX, quantitative research, and other investment teams to implement solutions.
