Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman who constructs and repairs overhead distribution systems, working on energized and de-energized lines, and traveling to different job sites as needed. You will report to the Foreman and collaborate with crews to ensure safe, reliable service.

You will lead crews in the absence of the supervisor, mentor apprentices, perform live‑line work with PPE, and operate bucket trucks and related equipment in varying weather and outage conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours, weekends and on-call outages.
• Work at out-of-state job sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in the absence of the supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Handle switching, tagging, grounding and voltage checks with proper tools.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions; support outages and emergencies.
• Perform live-line work with PPE and hot-sticks, troubleshooting faults.
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
