Job summary

State of Colorado is seeking an experienced IT leader to supervise the design, development, and maintenance of an automated hospital EHR Outpatient Program. You will oversee backend EHR work, clinical workflow design, order management, lab builds, and EHR interfacing.

Lead a Data Management team and coordinate with agencies and vendors. The role requires hands-on BEHR experience, HIPAA compliance knowledge, and strong leadership, with a hybrid work arrangement (minimum 2 days in the office) and

Qualifications

• Eight years total of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
• Five years hands-on directly with major EHR platforms/systems in their back end, medical records workflow or clinical informatics.
• Two years supervising others and running a team of technical individuals.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, ROI guidelines and state/federal health data privacy regulations.
• Understanding of CDI, RCM, and data governance.
• Backend experience with BEHR (Oracle EHR).

Responsibilities

• Design and build the electronic health record’s Outpatient Program in collaboration with clinical teams.
• Lead Data Management professionals, supervise tasks, and coordinate with Health IT stakeholders.
• Manage system upgrades, maintenance, and analyses; develop routine and ad hoc reporting.
• Serve as the technical liaison between the Health Information Team, OIT, and the EHR vendor and subcontractors.
