Job summary
1898 & Co. is seeking a Principal Consultant specializing in OT Strategy for Industrial Cybersecurity to lead advisory engagements across utilities and industrial operators.
You will translate regulatory requirements into practical OT strategies, architectures, and governance models while balancing resilience, safety, and lifecycle considerations. You will mentor consultants, support business development, and help grow the OT cybersecurity practice, engaging with executives and technical teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline; 13+ years of relevant consulting experience is common in this role.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISA/IEC 62443 or equivalent.
- PE license or significant electric utility engineering experience is preferred.
- Ten or more years in OT/ICS/cybersecurity/regulatory compliance or related consulting.
- Experience working with multiple NERC entities and regions, audits, self-reports, or mitigation activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead OT cybersecurity and regulatory compliance engagements for utility and industrial clients.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, compliance teams, and engineering groups.
- Develop governance models, roadmaps, and control frameworks.
- Mentor staff and support business development and proposals.
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices.
