Job summary

IOActive, Inc. is seeking a Senior OT Consultant who will lead complex engagements across industrial control systems and OT/IT convergence environments. You will mentor junior staff, contribute to methodology, and showcase technical leadership in engagements and within the OT community.

You’ll mentor and shape IOActive’s OT approach while delivering hands-on testing, threat modeling, and risk translation to client leadership. Travel and on-site work are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in offensive security services, with 2–3 years focused on OT or critical infrastructure work.
• Hands-on engagement delivery across OT domains — pen testing, threat modeling, ICs assessments, embedded industrial device security, or red-team/purple-team work.
• Working knowledge across the breadth of the OT landscape and industrial protocols.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and frameworks.
• Experience working in or alongside plant operations with appreciation for safety, availability and process integrity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical voice in client discussions, technical deep-dives, and interviews with OT engineers and security teams.
• Lead delivery on OT engagements — owning technical approach, methodology, hands-on testing, and findings.
• Protect the integrity, safety, and availability of clients' critical assets by applying non-disruptive OT assessment methodologies.
• Perform hands-on work spanning industrial protocols and embedded device analysis.
• Conduct network architecture reviews using the Purdue model and segmentation principles; identify risks.
• Lead OT threat modeling exercises, considering safety and process integrity alongside security risks.
• Translate findings into business and operational risk language for leadership.
• Author and quality-review engagement deliverables to IOActive’s standard.
• Build trusted technical relationships with client security and OT leads; support pre-sales discussions.
• Support pre-sales conversations with technical credibility — scoping calls and proposal input.
