Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) seeks a senior OT Network and Telecommunications professional to support reliability, security, and resilience of critical transportation infrastructure across the Northwest Region. This role focuses on maintaining seamless communications for traffic management, tunnel life-safety, and ITS networks in a 24/7 environment.

This hybrid role requires in-person work in Shoreline, WA at least two days a week and offers collaboration with traffic

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and administering network and telecommunications systems.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment and coordinate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer networking needs; conduct site surveys and plan viable networking solutions.
• Design, procure, install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and manage network/telecommunications equipment.
• Coordinate physical and network connectivity for OT/ITS environments with operations, vendors and partners.
• Monitor performance; perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for OT/ITS connectivity issues.
• Maintain standards, documentation, diagrams, and asset records for infrastructure.
