Job summary

WSDOT seeks a Technology Services Manager (TSM) to lead regional IT resources in the Northwest Region headquartered in Shoreline, WA. You will shape IT policy, oversee budgets, and guide a diverse team of technologists delivering enterprise solutions, security, and lifecycle management.

Reporting to TSD leadership, you will drive strategic technology initiatives, vendor management, and collaboration across agency divisions to ensure reliable, cost-effective technology services for the state.

Qualifications

• IT knowledge across IT domains including policy development, asset management, and vendor management.
• Experience leading strategic IT initiatives and developing policies to promote high availability and resilience.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions and manage complex IT projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop statewide IT policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines for IT resources.
• Disseminate and enforce statewide IT policies at regional level.
• Innovate and lead technology solutions aligned with enterprise goals and propose statewide adoption.
• Manage technicians and ensure key deliverables across solution design, development, and lifecycle.
• Provide project management for IT components of business projects and initiatives.
• Serve as a business liaison to gather requirements and vet solutions using enterprise processes.
