Job summary

State of Washington’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR) seeks an IT Network & Telecoms Administrator – Journey to manage enterprise networks, guide strategy, and coordinate projects. The role emphasizes clear communication with internal customers and vendors, and requires a strong customer-service ethos within a fast-paced environment.

Hybrid telework is available with travel as needed. The position is located in Olympia with some remote work flexibility and travel for meetings.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plus 4 years of relevant IT Network & Telecommunications experience, or equivalent combination.
• Experience in medium/large organizations with network/communications and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to create detailed technical documentation and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Local and Wide Area Network Support: configure, maintain and upgrade LAN/WAN environments.
• Coordinate WAN circuit upgrades and migrations based on agency needs.
• Manage PIM/IGMP for RoIP services and support routing protocols.
