Job summary

M.C. Dean in Tysons, VA, is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator and technical lead for secure OT/ICS infrastructure. You will own the solution lifecycle from bidding and design through implementation, cybersecurity hardening, testing, and handoff.

The role requires progressive systems administration experience, VMware/Hyper-V, Windows Server, and RMF/CYBER knowledge. Travel up to 30% and a Top Secret clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• Progressive systems administration or systems engineering experience across enterprise OT/ICS environments.
• Advanced hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and secure configuration management.
• Knowledge of STIGs, patching, vulnerability remediation, RMF, and cybersecurity compliance.
• Experience with OT/ICS network architecture, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
• Ability to produce designs, BOMs, tests, and as-built documentation.
• Strong communication and leadership with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead and primary customer-facing point of contact; lead requirements discovery and design coordination.
• Architect, deploy, configure, and administer VMware/Hyper-V environments and Windows Server platforms.
• Design and administer enterprise backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Coordinate secure OT/ICS network implementation and remote access.
• Lead system staging, FAT/SAT, testing, commissioning, and turnover to support.
• Mentor administrators, engineers, and vendors; manage risks and changes.
• Produce SOPs, installation guides, and training materials; support customer demos and turnover.
