Xcel Energy is seeking a Principal IT Architect for Operational Technology in a hybrid Denver-area role. You will lead domain architecture for mission-critical OT platforms, shaping roadmaps, standards, and governance to ensure reliability, security, and compliance across enterprise systems.

The role bridges architecture with operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and vendor teams, driving modernization and risk reduction while facilitating cross-team collaboration and ensuring operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, Business or related field or 4 years of experience equivalent to the position.
• Ten years of related functional experience.
• Excellent communication skills with varying organizational levels.
• Strong relationship management and collaboration across teams.
• Broad architecture acumen across network, infrastructure, software, and security.
• Experience in architecture review and technology lifecycle disciplines.
• Experience leading strategic roadmap planning and simplifying ecosystems.

Responsabilités

• Provide domain architectural leadership for mission-critical platforms in highly available environments.
• Develop technology strategies supporting reliable operations, modernization, cybersecurity, and compliance.
• Create technology roadmaps guiding capability evolution and standardization.
• Lead architecture discussions for complex initiatives spanning multiple platforms.
• Review solution architectures for alignment with enterprise strategy and security requirements.
