Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients, set goals, and implement plans to help them regain independence in daily activities. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, document care in the EMR, and supervise OT students.

Weekend shifts are required. The role requires IL OT licensure with acute care/inpatient rehab experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to transfer and position patients safely.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an OT in IL with Acute Care and Inpatient Rehabilitation experience.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, families and health care team.
• Ability to transfer and position patients and use therapeutic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, treat, evaluate and implement a POC for all clients.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team.
• Provide supervision to OTA/OT/OTA students.
• Document all patient care activities in the EMR in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and uphold privacy standards.
• Participate in weekend rotation as applicable.
