Insight Global is seeking a Manager of OSP Engineering & Operations to lead OSP engineering efforts across Ohio while managing a small team. The role acts as the primary technical authority for fiber network engineering, outage response, and contractor oversight, with a hands-on, player-coach leadership style.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of direct OSP experience, proficiency in outage management, and a track record of enforcing design standards and collaborating with vendors to support

Qualificações

• 12+ years of direct OSP engineering experience
• Experience supporting large-scale fiber optic network builds and operations
• Experience leading small engineering, operations, or field technical teams
• Strong understanding of aerial and underground fiber construction methods, conduit design, and network infrastructure
• Experience serving as a technical escalation point during network outages and service-impacting events
• Experience creating, reviewing, and enforcing OSP engineering standards and design practices
• Experience managing engineering vendors and construction contractors
• Ability to review engineering designs and answer complex routing, constructability, and network design questions
• Player-coach leadership style with the ability to mentor and support field operations personnel
• Comfortable participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical network events

Responsabilidades

• Lead OSP Engineering and Operations activities across the Ohio market
• Manage and mentor a team of two Operations Technicians
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for network outages and service-impacting events
• Provide Tier II engineering support to Operations, Construction, and Network teams
• Establish and maintain OSP engineering standards and best practices
• Review contractor designs and provide guidance on constructability, routing, utility crossings, and conduit utilization
• Partner with engineering, construction, operations, and vendor partners to support fiber expansion initiatives
• Participate in critical outage response and restoration efforts
