Job summary

GCS Recruitment seeks an experienced OSP Engineer to lead the design, planning, and deployment of advanced fiber optic networks across multiple markets. You will oversee construction from concept through completion, create routes and package designs, and ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

You will coordinate with engineering, operations, and vendors, perform capacity and network analysis, and maintain documentation and permits while upholding industry standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in OSP fiber construction or network deployment.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and construction activities.
• 3+ years of OSP engineering or fiber network design.
• Knowledge of FTTH/FTTX, Metro, or Backbone fiber networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment of fiber optic network construction projects.
• Review project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Develop construction drawings and engineering packages.
• Create fiber assignments, splicing plans, and route documentation.
• Support permitting and utility coordination efforts.
• Perform capacity planning and network analysis.
• Collaborate with construction teams during deployment.
• Maintain GIS records and as-built documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with industry and company standards.
• Coordinate permitting, construction activities, and project execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Track project progress and provide stakeholder updates.
• Support network acceptance, testing, and operational handoff.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and program management teams.
