Job summary

Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is recruiting a Senior Manufacturing Design Engineer to lead tooling design for high-yield production. You will create 3D CAD models (CREO/SolidWorks), define BOMs, and collaborate with electrical, quality, and process teams to ensure manufacturability and regulatory alignment.

The role requires 7+ years of CAD design experience, a engineering degree, GD&T proficiency, and experience in the medical device sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in advanced CAD design and drafting.
• English language proficiency required.
• Experience in the medical device industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and release production tooling, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and test/assembly stations for high-yield production.
• Produce 3D CAD models and drawings with full manufacturing detail using CREO/SolidWorks.
• Create and maintain fixture BOMs, part lists, and wiring/cable lists for test fixtures and stations.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, and ensure repeatability of fixtures under production loads.
• Lead prototype builds and pilot trials using 3D printing or CNC machining; iterate designs for cycle-time and quality targets.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to develop schematics for test fixtures.
