The CORE Institute | HOPCo is seeking an experienced scheduler for orthopedic surgery planning in a busy office environment. You will coordinate schedules for surgeons, facilities and clinical staff, and manage patient communications from pre-op to post-op, including financial counseling.

Responsibilities include collecting patient balances, coordinating insurance information, and maintaining accurate data in the EMR. Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualificações

• Customer service skills and adherence to AEIOU Behavioral Standards.
• Effective communication with physicians, clinical staff and the public.
• Ability to establish good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate schedules for multiple resources including outside facilities.
• Gather information from insurance carriers and physicians to determine patient financial obligation.
• Call patients to schedule surgery within 48 hours of order and schedule all pre- and post-op appointments.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients regarding pre-certification, authorization, financial counseling and scheduling.
• Collect patient responsibility during financial counseling or instruct payment at pre-op.
• Update system with scheduling changes and patient information in EMR.
