Huntington Ingalls Industries' Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking an experienced learning and development professional to design and implement development training programs that boost manager and team effectiveness, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of exempt experience (or a Master’s with 4 years), plus strong instructional design skills (ADDIE, needs assessments) and proficiency in creating executive-ready materials and on-the-job

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience.
Equivalents: Associate’s Degree with 2 years exempt experience or 4 years non-exempt, Military Paygrade E-5+, or High School/GED with 4–8 years related experience.

Responsibilities

Designs and implements development training programs to boost manager and team effectiveness and productivity.
Assesses critical business issues and designs organization development and strategic plans to improve performance.
Facilitates reengineering and reorganizational efforts and advises on team design and leadership development.
Delivers coaching and training to managers on leadership skills.
