Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a unit of HII, seeks a Development & Organizational Design professional to create and deliver training that boosts manager and team effectiveness while shaping organization development strategies. You will lead onboarding initiatives, support continuous improvement, advise on team design, and provide leadership coaching; hybrid telework is available with 10–25% travel.

Required: Bachelor’s degree with 3 years exempt experience (Master’s with 1 year acceptable); salary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of exempt experience; Master’s degree and 1 year of exempt experience.
NNS Apprentice School graduate, NNPS graduate or equivalent educational track.
2-year Associate’s degree with 2 years of exempt experience or 4 years of non-exempt experience.
Military paygrade E-5 or above or related military experience.
High School/GED with 4 or 8 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Designs and implements development training programs to enhance managers and teams’ effectiveness.
Assesses business issues and designs organization development and strategic plans.
Facilitates reengineering and/or reorganization efforts.
Advises on team design and performance.
Provides development and coaching to managers on leadership skills.
Lead onboarding programs and ongoing onboarding project work.
