UCSF Labor and Employee Relations (LER) seeks an experienced process improvement consultant to lead a comprehensive review and update of staff layoff units across UCSF Campus and UCSF Health. The consultant will assess the current state, develop evidence-based recommendations, and work with organizational and workforce data to map future-state units.

• Advanced Excel and large data manipulation experience.
• Ability to clean, reconcile, and analyze datasets from multiple sources.
• Experience leading complex process improvement or organizational analysis projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication for findings and recommendations.
• Ability to work with stakeholders with differing perspectives.
• Familiarity with healthcare or academic health systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• Develop a project plan for the review with phases, milestones, data needs, and timeline.
• Assess and document current state of staff layoff units across Campus and UCSF Health.
• Review mappings and identify obsolete or misrepresented units.
• Analyze historical and current workforce data to understand changes.
• Clean and reconcile data from multiple sources and identify gaps.
• Develop future-state layoff units based on structure, data, and geography.
• Document criteria and rationale for recommendations with stakeholders.
• Validate information with control points, HR partners, and subject matter experts.
• Communicate findings and incorporate stakeholder input into recommendations.
• Create final mappings between codes and proposed layoff units.
• Coordinate data mapping and rostering with IT and analytics teams.
• Support implementation and union notice readiness.
