Job summary

Trusted Space, LLC is seeking a Senior Aerospace Engineer to design, implement, and validate orbit-based algorithms for an autonomous product. You will focus on mission workflows across Earth-centered and cislunar dynamics within a cross-functional Agile team.

You will collaborate with autonomy and software engineers, develop mission-dynamics models, and create scenario configurations for testing and validation. A strong background in aerospace modeling and simulation is essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, physics, applied mathematics or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in modeling & simulation, mission dynamics, or test engineering.
• Experience developing and validating aerospace or space-domain models (orbital, attitude, sensor geometry, mission constraints).
• Hands‑on proficiency with simulation environments (Basilisk, Orekit, GMAT, etc.) and demo‑support workflows for mission environment simulations.
• Ability to collaborate with autonomy and software engineering teams in integrated Agile workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine aerospace mission-dynamics and space-domain simulation models.
• Collaborate with autonomy and software engineers to validate orbit algorithm outputs.
• Generate mission scenario configurations for reference missions and testing.
• Contribute aerospace-focused artifacts to documentation and training materials.
