Job summary

TechFlow, Inc. is seeking an experienced Database Engineer/Oracle DBA to support a mission-critical DoD software development program in Montgomery, AL.

The role focuses on administration, security, performance, and lifecycle management of enterprise Oracle databases to sustain and optimize critical applications. You will work with software engineers, DevSecOps, system architects, and program leadership to advance database modernization while ensuring availability and data integrity in Agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of Oracle DBA experience.
• Experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Security hardening & STIG compliance.
• Cloud deployments, including AWS.
• Agile/DevSecOps familiarity.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and manage Oracle databases.
• Monitor performance, availability, and health.
• Tune queries and indexing for performance.
• Enforce security controls and STIG compliance.
• Develop backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Manage schema changes via migration scripts in CI/CD.
• Automate deployment scripts and maintain configs.
• Maintain documentation and data dictionary.
• Support ETL, data integration, and metadata.
• Collaborate with dev and QA teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve ops.
• Ensure compliance with standards.
