Job summary

TechFlow, Inc. is seeking an experienced Database Engineer/Oracle DBA to support a mission-critical DoD software modernization program in Montgomery, AL.

The role focuses on administering Oracle databases, securing data assets, and ensuring high availability within Agile and DevSecOps environments. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience, cloud proficiency (AWS), and a active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience installing, patching, upgrading Oracle databases.
• Experience creating version-controlled migration scripts integrated with CI/CD.
• Strong Oracle performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle security hardening, encryption, auditing, and STIG.
• Experience with cloud-hosted Oracle databases (AWS).
• Familiarity with ETL, data dictionary, and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Oracle database environments.
• Monitor performance, availability, and health; resolve bottlenecks.
• Implement security controls, encryption, auditing, and STIG compliance.
• Develop and validate backup, recovery, and DR procedures.
• Design schema changes with migration scripts and CI/CD integration.
• Automate deployment scripts and maintain configuration documentation.
• Support end-to-end traceability of database requirements.
