Job summary

Electrosoft Services, LLC in the United States seeks an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support federal customers. The role emphasizes DBMS analysis, security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning in physical and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include loading schemas, creating objects, managing user access, monitoring performance with AWR reports, and assisting with STIG findings. Requires 5+ years of Oracle experience and NACLC/IT-II clearance.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant Oracle DBMS experience.
• Experience running Automated Workload Repository (AWR) reports.
• Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current NACLC at time of proposal submission.
• Experience with backup/recovery procedures and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Support Oracle application databases in physical/cloud environments.
• Load schemas, scripts, and data into Oracle or Microsoft SQL databases as required.
• Create primary objects (tables, views, indexes) and modify objects to address issues.
• Control and monitor user access to the database and maintain security.
• Monitor and optimize database performance using AWR reports and recommendations.
• Assist with STIG remediation and security compliance for databases.
• Assist with upgrading Oracle to newer releases as approved.

Oracle Database Administrator

Experience in DBMS system analysis and programming. Experience in using current DBMS technologies and application design using various database management systems; experience with DBMS internals. Must be capable of providing highly technical expertise and support in the use of DBMS. Must be able to evaluate and recommend available DBMS products to support validated user requirements. Defines file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications. Develops, implements, and maintains database backup and recovery procedures for the processing environments and ensures that data integrity, security, and recoverability are built into the DBMS applications.

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Support for all Oracle application database implementations in physical/cloud environments.
• Assist application team(s) by loading schemas, scripts, and data into Oracle or Microsoft SQL databases as required.
• Create primary objects (tables, views, indexes) and modify primary objects, as necessary, to address issues raised by application developers.
• Control and monitor user access to the database. Enroll users and maintain system security.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the database by running monthly Oracle Automated Workload Repository (AWR) reports, reviewing reports, and recommending database optimizations to improve application performance.
• Assist with performance tuning or troubleshooting application database-related issues/errors that may occur specific to the use of Oracle database technology for the application as appropriate.
• Provide consultation and knowledge sharing on database requirements for new and existing projects.
• Assist application team with interfacing with the J64 DBA infrastructure team.
• Assist in finding, researching, documenting, and remediating application Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) findings.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
• Provide support for the upgrade of Oracle to later releases once approved for use by DLA.

Required Skills:

• Five (5) years relevant experience
• Ability to run Automated Workload Repository (AWR) reports
• Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at time of proposal submission.

Pay Range

$110,000 - $130,000 USD
