Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. You will scrub and circulate through service lines during a six-month orientation, work closely with patients and families, and contribute to a patient-centered care approach.

Rotation options may be available to gain proficiency on specialty call teams. Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN license, BLS, and annual clinical competencies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Successfully complete mandatory clinical competencies annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patient populations.
• Perform ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patients’ condition.
• Develop and update goals, involve patients and families in care plans.
• Administer treatments and medications and document.
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluation of outcomes and quality improvement.
• Lead and mentor staff, pursue ongoing education and certifications.
