Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Successfully complete mandatory clinical competencies annually

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a given patient population
• Assessments: complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patients’ condition and respond appropriately
• Planning: develop and update goals, involve patients and families in the care plan, coordinate interdisciplinary care
• Implementation: administer treatments and medication and document
• Evaluation: participate in interdisciplinary evaluation of outcomes and contribute to quality improvement
