Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a Registered Nurse with more than two years of nursing experience to coordinate patient care within the Parkland nursing practice model. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while ensuring safety and timely transitions.

Responsibilities include patient advocacy, effective communication, and collaboration with the health care team. The role requires a Texas RN license and the ability to serve as a preceptor or charge nurse as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have two years of nursing experience, preferably in acute care.
• Must hold current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing; or a valid Compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patient rights, confidentiality, and cultural preferences.
• Communicate effectively to develop therapeutic relationships and promote wellness.
• Serve as a resource for patients and healthcare team members.
• Provide patient care information and training to patients and families.
• Participate in community outreach as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with nursing standards, policies, and guidelines.
