Parkland Health is seeking an experienced nurse supervisor to assist in daily unit management, staff development, and coordinating patient services to ensure high-quality care and optimal outcomes.

The role requires a Texas RN license, BLS, NRP, and 3 years of professional nursing experience, with a preference for a BSN. Responsibilities include scheduling, staff supervision, and collaboration with physicians and administration in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Three (3) years of professional nursing experience required.
  • Current RN license in Texas or valid Compact RN license.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist daily management of unit activities to ensure high quality patient care.
  • Develop staff schedules to optimize capacity and service to customers.
  • Supervise nursing and ancillary staff, including time and attendance.
  • Provide clinical leadership and serve as an educational resource to staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Parkland policies, Joint Commission standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians, administration and risk management to improve patient services.
