Job summary

Parkland Health in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with more than two years of clinical practice to coordinate perioperative patient care. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitions throughout the care continuum.

You must hold a Texas RN license (or temporary) and BLS certification. Acute care experience is preferred; the role may involve precepting and rotating as Charge Nurse to support department

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing (RN).
• Must have two years of nursing experience.
• Must have current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing; or, valid Compact RN license.
• Must have current healthcare provider BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient advocacy and coordinates care with the health care team.
• Ensures compliance with nursing practice standards and parkland policies.
• Performs patient assessments and documents appropriately.
• Demonstrates effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Delivers direction to non-nursing staff when needed and may serve as preceptor.
• Participates in rotating Charge Nurse duties and contributes to process improvements.
