Job summary

The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati is seeking an EVS professional to support the surgical unit by cleaning patient rooms and maintaining a safe, sterile environment for scheduled cases.

Responsibilities include terminal cleaning in OR areas, equipment care, infection control practices, and adherence to hospital policies. Requires OR tech certification and at least two years of hospital experience; CHEST certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years of working hospital experience required.
• OR Tech Certification required. Must go through training and pass test.
• CHEST certification within 1 year preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Completes room terminal cleaning for all areas of the OR according to standards.
• Calls maintenance for repairs, stocks supplies in room according to standards.
• Proper cleaning, care and placement of essential equipment for scheduled cases.
• Maintains orderliness and efficiency of the work environment.
• Provides and promotes patient and unit safety.
• Ensures beds, stretchers and carts are in safe positions.
• Uses universal precautions and isolates procedures for infection control.
• Follows hospital policy on waste disposal and hazardous spills.
