Job summary

The Christ Hospital Environmental Services Technician performs essential cleaning and safety tasks to support patient care. You will ensure the OR and surrounding areas are clean, safe, and compliant with hospital standards.

Responsibilities include terminal cleaning, equipment care, infection control, waste handling, and maintaining a sanitary unit. A high school diploma and 2 years hospital experience are preferred; OR Tech certification is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of working hospital experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• OR Tech Certification required. Must go through training and pass test.
• CHEST certification within 1 year preferred, but not required.
• Basic computer skills and customer service experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Completes room terminal cleaning for all areas of the OR according to standards.
• Calls maintenance for repairs and stocks supplies in room according to standards.
• Proper cleaning, care and placement of essential equipment for scheduled cases.
• Maintains orderliness and efficiency of the work environment.
• Infection control procedures and confidentiality are followed.
