Job summary

The Christ Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to support patient safety and a clean surgical environment. You will perform room terminal cleaning in the OR, stock supplies, and operate floor machines following AORN standards.

You will also follow infection control practices, handle waste, and maintain a safe, orderly unit. You must have a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years of hospital experience, basic math and computer skills, and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years of working hospital experience required.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Basic healthcare housekeeping customer service skills.
• Knowledge of computers preferred.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Completes room terminal cleaning for all areas of the OR according to standards.
• Calls maintenance for necessary repairs and stocks supplies.
• Proper cleaning, care and placement of essential equipment for scheduled cases.
• Maintains orderliness and efficiency of the work environment through cleaning utility areas, hallways, restrooms, equipment and carts.
• Promotes patient and unit safety and adheres to infection control procedures.
• Uses sterile technique and follows hospital policies for waste disposal and confidentiality.
