Job summary

The Christ Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Tech II to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, adhering to safety protocols, operating floor care equipment, and assisting with trash removal and recycling as needed.

Required: High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of floor care experience, with knowledge of MS Office and basic computer use. CHEST certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Basic healthcare housekeeping customer service skills required.
• Knowledge of computers is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and discharges as required.
• Promote patient safety in daily duties.
• Know and follow ESI chemicals and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
• Perform routine floor maintenance and use floor machines and auto-scrubbers as trained.
• Strip and refinish floors as needed and prepare surfaces for finishing.
• Handle carpet spotting and cleaning with appropriate chemicals and equipment.
• Assist with trash removal according to department procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality per hospital policy and annual Safety/Confidentiality testing.
