Photon Queue Inc. in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Senior Optomechanical Engineer to own the precision optical hardware program for its New Mexico branch.

This role is hands-on, end-to-end, sourcing, building, characterizing, and optimizing optical and mechanical subassemblies. You will coordinate with Chicago manufacturing, develop vendors and tooling, and establish repeatable processes that enable scalable production while advancing metrology, assembly, and thermal stability.

Formación

• MS or higher in Mechanical/Optical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of precision optomechanical design.
• Proficiency in CAD (Onshape, SolidWorks, Catia) and BOM management with GD&T.
• Experience sourcing from component vendors and contract manufacturers.

Responsabilidades

• Own design and development of custom optical subassemblies from sourcing to final assembly.
• Stand up the New Mexico optics lab with layout, hardware, test infrastructure.
• Manage vendor relationships and qualification, provide test plans and reports.
