Job summary

Infleqtion, Inc. seeks a Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and integration of precision opto-mechanical subsystems for scalable quantum hardware in our Boulder, CO facility.

You will own subsystems, mentor engineers, run simulations (FEA), and collaborate with physicists and electrical/mechanical teams to translate experimental requirements into robust optical hardware, with an emphasis on manufacturability and repeatability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in optical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience designing, modeling, and validating laser-based opto-mechanical systems.
• SolidWorks proficiency for complex scalable system design and analysis; Zemax collaboration for optical layouts and validation.

Responsibilities

• Own opto-mechanical subsystems within an established hardware architecture and manage risks and scalability constraints.
• Design and integrate precision components and assemblies for lasers, optics, and photonic devices.
• Conduct high-fidelity simulations and physical testing to validate stability, drift, and vibration sensitivity.
