You will act as the technical authority for complex designs and guide cross-disciplinary teams from concept to repeatable production. The role emphasizes hands-on lab contributions, model-based analyses, and close collaboration with physicists to translate experimental requirements into robust optical hardware that advances neutral-atom

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience designing, modeling, and validating laser-based opto-mechanical systems.
• Ownership-driven track record with hands-on lab contributions.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for complex scalable system design.

Responsibilities

• Own opto-mechanical subsystems within a hardware architecture and manage risks and long-term scalability.
• Design and integrate precision components for lasers, optics, vacuum components, and advanced photonics.
• Collaborate with physicists and cross-disciplinary teams to translate experimental requirements into robust hardware for scaling.
• Generate stability, tolerance, and error budgets across environmental conditions.
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior opto-mechanical engineers.
