Job summary

10x Genomics, Inc. is seeking a senior engineer to lead the architecture, design, and lifecycle delivery of precision optomechanical systems for imaging and illumination.

You will analyze optical performance, thermal behavior, vibration, and tolerances while mentoring engineers and presenting to senior leaders. You will own cross-functional execution, drive process improvements, and identify opportunities for patents.

Qualifications

Degree in mechanical or optical engineering plus 10+ years in optomechanical design.
Expertise in precision optical mounting, thermal and tolerance analysis, and electromechanical integration.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, design, integration, and lifecycle delivery of precision optomechanical systems.
Drive cross-functional execution and process improvements.
Mentor engineers and represent optomechanics to senior leaders.
Identify opportunities for patents.
