Bruker Daltonics is seeking a talented Optical-Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and optimize optical-mechanical systems and components for microscopy illumination and imaging. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver high-performance solutions that meet customer needs and industry standards.

The role requires hands-on design, tolerance analysis, proficiency with SolidWorks and Ansys, and a strong focus on manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience.
• Experience designing and developing mechanical systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Design precision optical-mechanical components and assemblies for microscopy illumination and imaging.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analyses to ensure proper fit under extreme conditions.
• Develop prototypes and test concepts to validate design requirements.
• Create detailed drawings, BOMs, ECOs, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with optical, mechanical, electrical, systems, software, and manufacturing teams.
• Lead design reviews and collect peer assessments.
